Due to COVID-19, things will look a little different at P.S. 241 but families can still expect a high-quality education and a warm and safe environment for all students.
*Please note that this page will be continuously updated.*
- Group A will be in school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and working from home Thursdays and Fridays.
- Group B will be in school on Thursdays and Fridays and working from home Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Groups will alternate coming into the building on Mondays and will work from when they are not on campus.
*Based on current enrollment, classroom capacity, and staffing, registered Pre-K and Kindergarten students will attend 5 days a week.
Families can opt into remote-only learning any point by completing or updating their Learning Preference Survey.
Remote learning will begin for all students on September 16th.
Blended (in-person) learning will begin on September 21st for Pre-K and in-person learning will begin for K-5 students on September 29th.
All students will participate in school from 8:40 AM to 2:10 PM, Monday through Friday, whether blended or remote.
Virtual Office Hours with teachers will take place every school day from 2:10 PM to 2:30 PM.
After-school Program Options are available.
Blended Learning families who need childcare on days their student is not in the building can express interest in childcare offered through the
NYC Department of Education's Learning Bridges Program.
*At any time of year, you can choose fully remote learning for your child. To choose fully remote learning for your child, fill out and submit the form by visiting: https://www.nycenet.edu/surveys/learningpreference. If you have difficulties completing this form online, please call 311.
Students who are 100% remote and blended learning students during their days home will participate in synchronous (live teaching) and asynchronous (independent work) instruction from 8:40 AM - 2:10 PM.
If you choose fully remote learning for your child, you will have the option to change back to blended learning at a few specific times during the school year, beginning in November 2020.
